Sundström Protective Mask 76-3
The SR 76-3 Escape Hood is a respiratory protective used in emergencies involving chemical accidents. It combines a Sundström silicone half mask with a hood made from chemical-resistant material. These hoods are vacuum-sealed in aluminium bags for optimal storage. The hood can be easily donned without prior adjustments and comes in two sizes to fit most adults and teenagers.
Equipped with a gas filter (SR 294 A2B2E1) and a particle filter (SR 510 P3), it offers comprehensive protection against various particles and specific types of gases:
- A2: Organic gases and vapors like solvents with boiling points above +65 ºC.
- B2: Inorganic gases and vapors such as chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, and hydrocyanic acid.
- E1: Acidic gases and vapors like sulfur dioxide and hydrogen fluoride.
The SR 76-3 S is approved solely for stationary storage and it’s also certified as a portable escape hood. The SR 76-3 M is supplied in a contingency bag made of nylon, designed for convenient belt mounting.
